Jefferson Middle School students in Jen Restivo’s Health class created comic strips based on the six traits of good character (Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship). Students listed each character trait in their comic strip and gave an illustrated example of a person showing good character.
“Character education is part of my curriculum. Showing good character will help students communicate care, consideration, and acceptance of self and others throughout their lives,” said Mrs. Restivo. “I like doing the comic strips with the students because it is a fun and creative way to learn, and students do remember the information better.”
