Bush School Donates to St. Susan’s

Bush Elementary School Advantage After School Program students recently presented Sue Colwell from St. Susan’s Center donations raised from an All-School Food Drive.  The drive raised 350 pounds of food for the Center.

“This is really wonderful that the kids gave back to their community,” said Mrs. Colwell. “The donation represents a lot of hard work and we really appreciate the school taking the time to collect all of these donations that are so necessary to keep our Center running.”

Bush Elementary School participates in many charitable donations throughout the year.

“It is important to remind students to give back to their own community and that there are those less fortunate,” said teacher Barb Senn. “A food drive is an easy way for students to bring in a non-perishable item that will help someone in their community.”
