Fletcher Physical Education Teachers Receive Buffalo Bills Grant

Fletcher Elementary School recently received a $1,000 Buffalo Bills NFL Play 60 Grant.

The grant, from the Buffalo Bills, BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York and the American Heart Association provided 20 local schools with $1,000 Play 60 Challenge Equipment grants for their physical education classrooms. These equipment grants include footballs, basketballs, soccer balls, and a number of additional physical education items. Physical education teachers Greg Jackson and Ardelle Rambacher wrote the grant detailing why Fletcher Elementary school deserved the equipment.

“We heard about the grant through the Buffalo Bills,” said Mr. Jackson. “Often our entire year’s budget is only $1,000 so we were thrilled to hear we received the grant as it will give our students even more opportunities to stay fit and try new physical fitness activities.”

The grant also included a $100 gift certificate to purchase additional physical fitness equipment.
