Bush Artists Use Circles to Create Abstract Art

Bush Elementary School students recently worked on their abstract circle art during Becky Whitman’s art classes. Mrs. Whitman discussed the definition of abstract arts and how it can be open to interpretation. They also looked at many examples of abstract art and discussed how they were created before creating their own. A variety of items were used to create the circles including tops of cans, eraser heads and CDs.

“Everyone was  amazed at how different and unique each student’s artwork was even though they all used the same circles as the basis for the piece,” said Mrs. Whitman. “We also concentrated on the proper care and use of markers for this project.”
