Persell Student Use Science & Technology After School to Create Robots

Persell Middle School students recently used their creativity and imagination to build unique robots with Robotic Club Advisor David Gee. The Robotics Club, which meets twice a week after school, is funded by the 21st Century Community Learning Grant. Students learn how to use the LEGO® Robotics system. Students have created Star Wars battle scenes, hoists that  lift objects off the ground and practical applications such as programming the robot to drive a robotic vehicle without straying from a line using a light/dark detection unit.

LEGO® Education combines the unique excitement of LEGO® bricks with hands-on classroom solutions for science, technology, engineering, math, literacy, and more. Students, through observation, reasoning, prediction, and critical thinking, explore their talents, and becoming the creative problem-solvers.
