Zumbatomic Class Gets Kids Moving at Love Terrific Kids Club

Love Terrific Kids Club After School Program is dancing up a storm with new Zumbatomic classes for  students. The class, taught by instructor and physical education teacher Sue Gullo, meets at Love meet once a week for ten weeks. The 45-minute class consists of a warm-up, learning a Latin-rhythm move (meringue, salsa, reggaeton), breaking down a new dance and performing it, game-time and cool-down stretches.

Zumbatomic songs incorporate Latin-rhythm  and fitness moves (jumping, hopping, jogging, lunges, arm moves, etc.) to form a dance. Zumbatomic’s goals are to get students moving and  keep them healthy, both physically and mentally.

“Zumbatomic is exercise in disguise,” said Mrs. Gullo. “It is easy and uses great music that motivates students to move. They really love performing in front of each other and love to show off their moves. I encourage them to just keep moving even when they are on the wrong foot. The students love it. It’s so much fun.”
