Jefferson & Fletcher Students Receive Reflections Awards from the Southwestern Region PTA

The Southwestern Region PTA recently recognized two Jefferson Middle School and five Fletcher Elementary School students with “Reflections” Awards at its annual Spring Conference. While the region is made up of three counties – Chautauqua, Allegany and Cattauragus – all  seven winners of this year’s Reflections Program were from Jamestown Schools! Students entered original literature, such as poems and stories, and visual arts including photography and painting. JPS students chosen were:

Caroline Lopez – Literature – Jefferson Middle School
Molly Moore – Visual Arts – Jefferson Middle School

Tenley Zielinski – Literature – MJ Fletcher Elementary School
Marissa Woodard – Visual Arts – MJ Fletcher Elementary School
Kaylee Gabalski – Visual Arts – MJ Fletcher Elementary School
Arwen Briggs – Special Artist – MJ Fletcher Elementary School

Mercedes Johnson’s entry, from Fletcher Elementary School, was chosen by the State for an Award of Merit for Photography.  Her photography will be on display at the National PTA Convention.

Congratulations to these students for their hard work and effort in completing their “Reflections” entries.
