Lincoln Elementary School PTA recently donated risers for the school’s auditorium. The new risers will be used for student performances, such as concerts, town meetings, presentations and kindergarten recognition ceremonies. The risers hold 96 students and have back and side rails to improve safety. The Lincoln PTA also purchased moveable storage units for the risers when not in use by students.
“The Lincoln School PTA is extremely generous with their time and efforts to help support all of our students,” said Lincoln Elementary School Principal Katie Russo. “The new risers are a welcome addition and will be used frequently for student performances. The staff can’t thank them enough for this wonderful purchase.”
The PTA utilized school fundraising money to purchase the risers and volunteers donated their time to install the risers on the auditorium stage.
“We wanted to use the fundraising money for something that we could leave behind at the school and would benefit many students in the long-run,” said the Lincoln PTA President-Elect Tammy Nordwall. “We knew the old risers needed to be replaced and were somewhat of a safety issue so we thought it was a wise donation.”
