JHS Collects “Presents for Pets” for the Chautauqua County Humane Society

Jamestown High School recently held its 5th Annual Presents for Pets collection drive in support of the daily needs of the Chautauqua County Humane Society (CCHS). CCHS’ wish list contains items such as: used towels, pet toys and feeding dishes that any student would have in their home and does not require a financial component. JHS graduate Casey Love started Presents for Pets in 2008 to give all students an opportunity to give back during the holiday season.

JHS senior Jacob Kindberg coordinated this year’s drive and was assisted by junior Anthony Russo, which ended on December 19th with the class contributing the most items receiving $100 to add to their Penny Wars fundraising total.

The items donated reduce the supply costs for the Humane Society giving them more working capital for the care of the animals. For more information on the CCHS’ Wish List, visit their website at http://www.spcapets.com/waystogive/wishlist/
