Jefferson School Nurse Creates Quilt to Benefit Breast Cancer Support Group

Every October, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Jefferson Middle School participates in spreading awareness to its students, families, staff and community of breast cancer and the effects of the disease and on all those touched by it. This year, Jefferson Middle School is raffling off a beautiful, handmade quilt created by School Nurse, Sherry Lindstrom.

Tickets are $1 each and all proceeds will go to the local Breast Cancer Support Group.  This organization assists breast cancer patients with the little extras that may not be covered in any other capacity.

The raffle is open to the public and tickets are available by calling Jefferson Middle School at 483-4411. The drawing will be held on October 31st at the end of the school day.
