Wounded Warrior Sal Gonzalez Talks & Sings To Help Washington Students Better Understand Veteran’s Day – Click Here for Video!

Washington Middle School received a firsthand account of what it is like to be a veteran with a presentation by Sal Gonzalez from the Wounded Warrior Project. He talked to students about his experiences in Iraq, being injured by a bomb and losing his leg, and the importance of the Wounded Warrior Project. He also sang an original song he wrote, Heroes, and received a standing ovation. Washington Middle School teacher Daiman Parniella brought in Mr. Gonzalez to ensure that the students understood the meaning of Veteran’s Day. Washington Middle School’s Student Council has also raised over $600 that they donated to the Wounded Warrior Project over the last two years. Check out the video below to see part of Mr. Gonzalez’s presentation.
