The Jefferson Middle School Student Council sponsored a homeroom canned food drive for St. Susan’s Center. The school collected 260 items from 5lb bags of flour, stuffing and Nutella, to tuna and 200 cans of soups and vegetables. Lisa Offhaus’ class collected 58 cans alone, or 22.3% of the total, earning her homeroom a pizza party in December. Thank you to everybody who donated and pitched in, especially Mrs. Martin and her custodial staff for the boxes necessary to collect from 27 different homerooms.
