21 JHS Seniors Awarded All-WNY Section 6 Individual Scholar Athletes

Jamestown High School is proud to announce that 21 students on the school’s Fall varsity sports teams qualified as New York State Public High School Athletic Association’s (NYSPHSAA) Section VI Scholar Athlete Individual Awards. To qualify, each senior’s overall grade point must be an average of 90 or above for six semesters and be a starter or important reserve.

JHS All-WNY Scholar Athlete winners were: Stephen Carlson – Football and Sarah Gibson – Soccer. JHS All-WNY Scholar Athlete Honorable Mentions were: Katie Andalora – Soccer, Rebecca Bogdan – Cross Country Track, Haley Davis – Soccer, Christian Edborg – Cross Country Track, Damien Jackson – Football, Andre Johnson – Cross Country Track, Andrew Latona – Cross Country Track, Ben Larson – Football, Kyle Liuzzo – Football, Matthew Lombardo – Cross Country Track, Elizabeth Mazzone – Cross Country Track, Joe Mistretta – Football, Matt Nazzaro – Football, Emily Nelson – Tennis, Zack Panebianco – Football, Joe Ramos – Football, Adriana Roehmholdt – Cross Country Track, Jenna Valone – Tennis and Patrick Walsh – Cross Country Track.

“We are very proud of these 21 seniors. They are great athletes, scholars and role models for our younger student-athletes,” said Ben Drake, JPS Athletic Director.

Each scholar-athlete will receive a certificate from NYSPHSAA for his or her accomplishment. Congratulations to all the students for their academic achievements. All JHS Fall sports teams also qualified for NYSPHSAA Section VI Scholar Athlete Team Awards.
