Fletcher Elementary School Donates to WCA to Honor Teacher

Fletcher Elementary School staff held a “Sischo Strong Day” in honor of kindergarten teacher Anne Sischo who is battling breast cancer. As Mrs. Sischo is a lifelong supporter of the Buffalo Bills, the staff and students dressed in the team’s colors, red and blue, in order to raise money for the WCA Mammography Department. The school raised over $600 to honor their teacher’s courageous battle with cancer.

“The support for Anne’s cause was tremendous,” said Fletcher Elementary School kindergarten teacher, Kelly Ribbing. “There were students with jerseys, hats, dyed hair, face paint, and red and blue attire throughout the school.  Several classrooms made hats and sent cards to Mrs. Sischo offering words of encouragement and support. Mrs. Sischo’s recovery is going very well and her students and the staff at Fletcher are looking forward to her return to the school.”

The money will be donated to WCA when Mrs. Sischo returns to Fletcher School in the spring.
