JPS Honors Retirees at Reception

Jamestown Public Schools recently honored its retirees with a reception in the Board of Education meeting room. The retirees received tokens of appreciation in honor of their retirement.

“We recognize that retirement is good for you, but it is also sad for us as we are losing you as valuable employees,” said JPS Superintendent Tim O. Mains. “We cannot thank you enough for your service and dedication to our district over the years. You have directly benefited the lives of many Jamestown children and your talents and contributions will be greatly missed.”

Thirty-six employees are retiring from JPS this year: Nancy Ackley, Cheryl Andrews, Karen Bjorkholm-Leeper, Darlene Brace, Val Brunco, Theresa Carlson, Mary Chesnutt, Deborah Conlan, Lou Ann Dobmeier, Kathy Eklum, Nancy Feenstra, Diane George, Dawn Giaimo, John George Grice, Charles Gustafson, Colleen Gustafson, JoAnne Gustafson, Rosemary Hamilton, David Harding, Donna Ibero, Patricia Keifer, Kae Mann, Jan Mara, John Mistretta, Joanne Montagna, Tracy Nelson, Lori Nystrom, Lucinda Pearson, Kathleen Pisarcik, Kim Richir, Willamay Rupczyk, Barb Senn, Bonnelyn Swanson, Kevin Swanson, Kim Wion and Nancy Zuchowski.

“The Board of Education wants you to know that we do appreciate all of the hard work and dedication that you have put forth for our children, no matter the role you played,” said Laurel Lucas, JPS Board of Education member, who attended the reception. “On behalf of the Board of Education, we thank you very much for your dedicated years of service.”
