JPS Musicians Chosen for NYSSMA’s Junior High All-States

JHS musicians, Natalie Carlson (violin), Elyse Jones (clarinet), Kara Triscari (French horn) Christian Dolce (trombone) and Washington Middle School musicians, Adam Chang (viola) and Madison Ventura (French horn) were selected to perform in NYSSMA’s Junior High Area All-States Festival in Akron, NY this past weekend.

The audition-based festival used the student’s individual scores for the selection process. The two-day festival ended with a concert on Saturday afternoon.

“These are exceptionally talented students,” said JHS Band Director, Meghan Murray. “We are so proud of their accomplishments.  It is extremely difficult to prepare for a solo festival and to receive such high scores shows the dedication and hard work put in by these young musicians.  Not only are they good players, but they are also terrific students who represented our school and community well at the festival.”
