JHS Musicians Chosen for NYSSMA All-State Festival

Jamestown High School is proud to announce that 12 musicians were chosen to participate in the NYSSMA Zone 1 Senior High Area All-State Festival this past weekend at SUNY Fredonia.

Mackenzie Abbey (trombone), Sonia Angeli (voice), Ericka Correa (clarinet), Sydney Deppas (trumpet), Amelia Dolce (french horn), Cameron Hurst (voice), Lucas Lassinger (trumpet), Matthew Leon (euphonium), Cameron Lydell (euphonium), Matthew Myers (piano), Ben Russo (trombone) and Paige Stafford (clarinet) were selected, by audition, from students in Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Erie and Niagara counties.

“This is a very prestigious honor and we are fortunate to have so many JHS students selected this year,” said JHS Band Director, Meghan Murray. “They are wonderful players and students. They will certainly represent our school, and community, well!”
