Local HOG Chapter Donates to Ring Elementary School

The Chautauqua-Kinzua Harley Owners  (HOG) Group recently donated boxes of toys, games, winter boots and hats to Ring Elementary School. The Harley Davidson of Jamestown, Inc. sponsors the group, which has over 130 members from New York and Pennsylvania. Annually, the group asks members to bring in toys and donate cash to purchase items for local organizations.

“This year we chose Ring School to receive the donation,” said Glen Landers, Director Chautauqua-Kinzua Harley Owners. “It was brought to our attention that what they really needed most was winter boots for the kids so that is what we purchased with the donated cash, along with socks and winter hats. It is our hope that we can make the Christmas season a little merrier for area kids.”

The students appreciate the donation to their school.

“I think it is really nice that they do this for our school and they help out the community,” said Ring Elementary School second grader, Isabella Nuccio. “Some kid won’t get presents for Christmas or have a holiday and by giving us these presents, some kids will get a nice present for Christmas.”

The current officers of the Chautauqua-Kinzua HOG Chapter are: Glen Landers, Director, Mark Van Ord, Assistant Director, Tom Nuss, Secretary and Donna Landers, Treasurer.
