Bush Elementary School Raises $1,701 for The American Heart Association

Bush Elementary School students and staff recently raised $1,701 for the American Heart Association through their annual “Jump Rope for Heart.”

In addition to jumping rope, students completed a variety of fitness-related stations including: step box, Jake the Snake and basketball.

“This is the seventh year we have done ‘Jump Rope for Heart’ at Bush School and we have raised $11,000 total,” said Bush Elementary School Physical Education teacher, Jay Grann. “The event is important as it teaches students about their bodies, especially their hearts, and why it is important to take care of them. It also helps students give back to their community.”
