JPS Board of Education adopted the proposed 2016-17 Budget at last night’s meeting to be put forth for a public vote on May 17th from noon to 9 p.m. The proposed budget includes a tax levy decrease, no fund balance or reserves used, and no staff or program reductions. A budget newsletter with more information will be mailed to the public prior to the May 17th vote. A public hearing will be held on May 10th at 7 p.m. at Persell Middle School.
