Jamestown Board of Education Authorized 2017-18 Proposed Budget at Last Night’s Meeting

The Jamestown Board of Education authorized the 2017-18 Proposed Budget in the amount of $84,948,220 to be adopted at last night’s meeting, pending the May 16th public vote. The 2017-18 budget includes no tax levy increase or staff reductions.

The Board of Education has received a detailed budget proposal from JPS Interim Superintendent, Sylvia Root, which included staffing and other student resource investments.  A Public Budget Hearing will be held on May 9th at 6 pm at Persell Middle School .
