The Jamestown Board of Education is asking the community for its help with their superintendent search by completing a short survey. The survey will be available on the JPS website (www.jamestownpublicschools.org) on the home page in both English and Spanish from April 24th through May 4th. Hard copies will also be available in every Jamestown school office for those without Internet access.
The Board of Education has engaged the Western New York Educational Service Council to assist in the superintendent search, an important part of which is the community survey. The Board understands the importance of seeking input from all stakeholders, including parents & families, students, JPS staff members and community members.
“We value the input of our entire Jamestown community as we begin to conduct our new superintendent search,” said JPS Board of Education President, Paul Abbott. “The short survey will help us focus our search on the candidates who have the qualities that our community most desires in a school superintendent. Everyone’s opinion is vitally important in this search so we hope that people take the time to fill out the survey.”
