JPS Honors Retirees at Reception

Jamestown Public Schools recently honored its retirees with a reception in the Board of Education meeting room. The retirees received tokens of appreciation in honor of their retirement.

“We added up the years of service that you have contributed to the district – it came to 573 years of dedicated experience,” said JPS Superintendent Sylvia Root. “We recognize that retirement is a great thing for you, but it is also sad for us as we are losing you as valuable employees. We cannot thank you enough for your service and dedication to our district over the years. Your talents and contributions to the children of this district are greatly appreciated and will be missed.”

Twenty-four employees are retiring from JPS this year: Kevin Almleaf, Kathleen Anderson, Steve Anderson, Ardith Baldwin, Madeline Byczek, Rebecca Campbell, Lori Cook, Deborah Coyle, Dave Currie, Eugene Forness, Laura Golden, Valerie Hagglund, Rozanne Hammond, Marlene Hooper, Kathleen Isaacson, Donna Moynihan, Robert Olson, Suzanne Pacheco, Mary Sue Pokrywka, Julie Poppleton, Christine Putney, Gregory Sherlock, Anne Sischo and Mary Spitale.
