Jamestown Axemen Donated School Supplies to ALL Jamestown Schools

Every Jamestown school got a nice surprise when the Jamestown Axemen MC, an area motorcycle club whose members are local firefighters, donated school supplies to students and teachers throughout the district. This is the fourth year the Axemen have donated to Jamestown Public Schools.

“Axemen MC NY4 wanted to give back to the community that we serve,” said Keith Eklund from the Axemen MC. “We wanted to make a positive impact on the community, so what better way than to help the children of Jamestown. The Fill the Bus Fundraiser was a vision that originated from my wife, Kim Ecklund and we, the Axement, decided to turn the vision into reality. We are able to donate the supplies needed to help facilitate educators and the children with their education. The smiles, cheers and the look on the faces of the children, teachers & staff are humbling. We are truly blessed to be able to help, TO PAY IT FORWARD.”

The Jamestown Axemen collected school supplies through a donation drive called  ”Fill the Bus” and included: pencils, cases, notebooks, calculators, construction paper and glue, to name just a few of the many supplies donated to Jamestown students.

“We can’t thank the Jamestown Axemen enough for their generous donation to our schools,” said JPS Director of Schools Tina Sandstrom.” “Our schools can always use additional supplies and this is just a such a generous gesture for the Axemen to do this for our students. We so appreciate it.”
