Lincoln Elementary School Donates to the Audubon

Lincoln Elementary School recently raised $700 through their all-school Coin Wars for the Audubon Community Nature Center. The students raised $688 & Lincoln PTA rounded it up.  The fourth grade raised the most money. This is the sixth year for the Coin Wars. Third and fourth graders vote on the charity to receive their donation.

“We love the Audubon because they teach us about nature and how to take care of animals,” said Lincoln Elementary School fourth grade representatives Dayshia Ashdown, Anna Engquist, Aidan Fodor and Hunter Dominick. “It is really important to give back to them so they can help more animals.”

“We are so appreciative of the students choosing us for their donation this year,” said Katie Finch, Naturalist from the Audubon Community Nature Center. “We love coming into the schools to present curriculum to the students about nature so it is really meaningful that the student chose to give back to us. Our mission is to connect people to nature and something like this is true community collaboration. Thank you to everyone who donated.”
