Advanced Placement Examinations

Jamestown High School offers a number of college-level courses to students seeking the opportunity to earn college credit while enrolled in high school. Students enrolled in one of the following Advanced Placement (AP) courses must achieve a passing score on the associated AP examination in order to demonstrate mastery of college-level standards:

  • AP Biology
  • AP Calculus AB
  • AP Chemistry
  • AP English Language and Composition
  • AP English Literature and Composition
  • AP Environmental Science
  • AP European History
  • AP Psychology
  • AP Physics C: Mechanics
  • AP Studio Art: Drawing
  • AP United States History

College credit for an AP course is determined by the score achieved and the college of the student’s choice.

AP examinations are scheduled to be given in May. Students will be notified by the guidance office of the process for exam registration and collection of examination fees. Students with financial need may qualify for a fee reduction upon application.
