#14 – Brooke Tobias
Brooke Tobias, the daughter of Kimberly Tobias, will attend Jamestown Community College with plans to major in Nursing.
“JHS has helped me take classes based on college and career choice throughout all four years and the extensive selection of college and AP courses are amazing and give many students so many more educational opportunities. JHS has helped prepare me for college by having college-level courses available to take during high school. This will help me out greatly with college costs. Also, my guidance counselor, Mrs. Noon, and Mrs. Love in our College and Career Center, have helped tremendously with applying to college, finding scholarships, and helping to make sure our financial aid and scholarships are done correctly and on time.”
Award and honors: Marilyn Carlson Morse McClain, Alberta Sandberg Morse Memorial Scholarship, Part-time Dean’s List at JCC and Honor Roll consistently throughout four years of high school
Activities: National Honor Society, Ski Club, two part-time jobs
“My favorite class and teacher was College-Level Elementary Statistics with Mr. Maggio. With this class, I was able to complete a pre-registration course for the Nursing Program at JCC while still in high school. Also, Mr. Maggio was very helpful. I was always thankful that I could ask for further explanation and help at any time.”
