Jamestown High School October 2011 Students of the Month

12th Grade: Eric Ryberg

Eric Ryberg, a senior at Jamestown High School,  is the son of Steve and Rhonda Ryberg. Eric is the Senior Class Treasurer and participates in Varsity Track and Field where he has been Captain and has received two coach’s awards. He is currently taking AP Art, and has taken nine other art classes in high school. After graduation, Eric plans to attend SUNY Fredonia to study fine art.

 

 

 

 

 

 

11th Grade: Zachary Eklum

Zachary Eklum, a junior at Jamestown High School,  is the son of Todd and Dawn Eklum. Zach is the co-president of the Junior Class, as well as vice-president of Key Club. He is also a member of the Varsity Wrestling and Tennis teams. He was named Scholar Athlete of the Tennis team, where he remains undefeated in regular season matches. In his spare time, Zach volunteers at local charity events, spends time with his family, and trains for athletics.

 

 

 

 

 

10th Grade: Jonathan Healy

Jonathan Healy, a sophomore at Jamestown High School,  is the son of Terry Smith and Michael Healy. Jonathan is Sophomore Class co-treasurer and plays the French horn in Concert Band. He is also a member of the Soccer, Wrestling, and Track teams. In his spare time, Jonathan participates in Black Watch Premier Soccer, SC United Travel soccer, and BSA Troop 131. After graduation, he plans to major in engineering at Cornell University, possibly in aerospace or chemical engineering.

 

 

 

 

 

9th Grade:  Abbie Johnson

Abbie Johnson, a freshman at Jamestown High School,  is the daughter of Greg and Grace Johnson. Abbie is a member of the Girls’ Varsity Swim team and plays the French horn in Concert Band. She is active in her church youth group and swims for Southern Tier Aquatic Racers. Abbie has received the Daughters of the American Revolution Award for Citizenship as well as several academic awards.
