Richa Gupta, a senior at Jamestown High School, is the daughter of Amul and Renu Gupta. In school, she has been a member and captain of the JHS Varsity Girls Swimming and Diving Team for 5 years, qualifying for ECIC’s and Sectionals each year. She has also been a member of Mock Trial and National Honor Society, and the treasurer for 2011 Class Council, Student Organization, and Concert Orchestra, where she plays the violin. Outside of school, she dances, volunteers independently at the WCA Hospital, and works at the YMCA as a lifeguard and swim instructor.
Richa is the salutatorian of her class, and has won many academic awards including Student of the Month, Commended PSAT National Merit Scholar, AP Scholar, and the Harry Klein Award for AP Chemistry, among others. After high school, Richa plans to attend the University of Pittsburgh to major in biology/premed.
Nicholas Anderson, a junior at Jamestown High School, is the son of Steven and Christine Anderson. The Boys Varsity Soccer Team, Varsity Bowling Team, and Varsity Tennis team are where Nicholas spends much of his time after school hours. Nicholas is also a member of the National Honor Society and Zion Lutheran Church. In his spare time, Nicholas really enjoys spending his time on the golf course. Nicholas’ college of study is undecided as of yet but he does plan on becoming a police K-9 handler after graduation.
Olivia Zabrodsky, a sophomore at Jamestown High School, is the daughter of Kristy and John Zabrodsky. She is a member of the Student Council for the Class of 2013 and plays the tenor saxophone in the Concert Band. She also participates in the A Cappella Choir and Madrigal Singers ensembles. She is a member of Raider Readers and Key Club. Olivia is actively involved in her church where she serves as an assistant lay pastor. She enjoys dance and playing the piano. She is on the Girls Varsity Cross Country, Indoor Track, and Outdoor Track teams. She was named Most Valuable Runner for the Cross Country team and was also named to the CCAA First Team for Cross Country. As part of the 4 x 800 meter relay team, Olivia anchored the Indoor Track School Record for JHS. She qualified for the NYS Section 6 Meet in all 3 sports. Olivia also was awarded the Classical and Multicultural Studies Award by the JHS English Department. After graduation she plans to attend college. She is interested in becoming a forensic scientist and profiler.
Rishi Gupta, a freshman at Jamestown High School, is the son of Amul and Renu Gupta. Rishi is the Freshman Class Co-President and a member of Student Organization. He participates in Key Club and Mock Trial. He is currently a member of the Varsity Boys Swim Team and plays saxophone in Marching Band and Symphonic Band, and has also been taking piano lessons for eight years. Rishi plans to further his education in college, but is as of yet undecided on a major.
