Superintendent Search Stakeholder Committee Information

The Jamestown Board is committed to the involvement of its faculty, staff, students, parents and community members in its search process for a new superintendent of schools.

Through the search consultant, Dr. David O’Rourke, the Board has solicited participation from faculty, staff, and community groups with a long history of involvement and partnership with the Jamestown Public Schools. Faculty, staff union presidents and community agencies have nominated representatives for five adult interview teams:

Central Office Administrators

Dr. O’Rourke consulted the Board, administration, and Jamestown community leaders in recommending community and parent participants for the community/parent team.

High School students will also be included in the search process as a sixth interview team. Student organization advisors have selected these students.

All team members are required to participate in a mandatory training and confidential interview question development session on April 17.

Interviews of up to three final candidates will take place on May 6, 7, and 9. ¬†Each of the teams will meet with the Board’s three final candidates on those dates, and individual team members will submit confidential, secure, online assessments of the finalists for the Board to consider as it reaches its decision on the best candidate to appoint as the next superintendent at Jamestown Public Schools.
