Statement from Superintendent Tim O. Mains Re: Arrest at JHS Today:

This morning a student was stopped upon entry to Jamestown High School and was discovered to be in possession of both marijuana and heroin. The Jamestown Police Department was called and an arrest was made. The student will be facing appropriate action from the courts and our school district.  We do not tolerate the presence of dangerous contraband in our schools. We will not allow any individual to place our students in danger. I am pleased by the quick and appropriate response of our staff including our School Resource Officer (SRO) Melody Peach. We continue to ask our students, staff and wider community to alert us anytime they have knowledge or suspicion of the presence of drugs or weapons in our schools.
