“JHS has prepared me for the academic challenges I will face in undergraduate school and medical school through the rigors of the AP courses that I took. Additionally, JHS has honed my leadership and management skills through my participation in a multitude of extracurricular activities. JHS is special because it offers a vast array of advanced classes – more than any other high school in Southwestern New York. I particularly admire how JHS continually expands its offerings by implementing new classes that peak student interests in specific fields of study like the new Principles of Engineering course. My favorite class was AP Calculus, which is taught by Mr. Lumia. It is most likely my favorite class because I have had an innate interest in mathematics and numbers since my early childhood. ”
