JPS Automated Telephone System
As many of you know, JPS uses a communications program that allows us to contact you with important recorded messages. The system is called Blackboard Connect and is used for a host of reasons – as an example – notifying the entire student body of a school closing for weather related issues. At the present time, the system is set to call only one phone number, which is generally your home phone.
However, there are certain restrictions. Any phone number provided must be a direct line. The system cannot enter menu choices or extension numbers. This information does not change emergency contact numbers we have on file in the main office and the Guidance Department. Those numbers will still be used if we need to contact you individually regarding your son / daughter.
If you have any questions please contact your school principal. Also, please remember that you are not required to give us this information – this is entirely up to you.
