JHS sophomore, Sarah Pillittieri, recently competed at the NYSPHSAA Girl’s State Golf Championships at Bethpage State Park on the weekend of June 2-4.  She competed on the Yellow course of this historic golf complex that has hosted numerous professional and international golf tournaments on its signature Black course.  On the par 72 layout, Sarah shot rounds of 113 and 121 to finish 79th in the state.  She helped lead Section VI to a 3rd place finish in the team competition.  As a sophomore, this is her first year competing in the state championship and represented herself well.  On the trip, Sarah and her sectional teammates were able to tour Times Square and navigate the Bethpage Black course and its facilities.  Congratulations Sarah on this great accomplishment!
